Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks-2-1024x767Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was born on the 9th of July 1956. He is an American actor as well as a filmmaker and director. Known for both his dramatic and comedic role, he is one of the most popular and recognizable film stars worldwide and is widely regarded as an American famous cultural icon. Thomas Jeffrey Hanks was a Concord, California native to Janet Marylyn Hanks, a hospital worker and Amos Mefford Hanks an itinerant cook. His mother's clan, known as "Fraga", was entirely Portuguese, while his father was mostly of English heritage. Tom was raised in what he describes as a "fractured" family. He did not have any acting experience prior to college. This is the reason that helped him get started in his career. He was a part of the auditions in downtown Cleveland for the community theatre show. Then, he was invited to Cleveland by the director. This was where his acting career began.
