Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Elis Taylor is an American screen and stage actor and producer. Her most well-known work is as a film actress for her role as a character in Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) and The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University as well as an MFA in Acting from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue has a reputation as an American actress as well as a producer and director. She has worked in both film and television. Her acting career began in the theatre. Then she appeared on several television shows as well as independent and mainstream films. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. For both of these roles she was praised by critics and received various nominations and awards, including her first award, the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress.
